Neighborsville is the easiest way to find, share, and discuss the things that are going on in your neighborhood. You can use it to share upcoming events, ask your neighbors for recommendations on anything from Italian restaurants to kitchen remodelers, and talk about important neighborhood issues like Neighborhood Watch, traffic, or redevelopment. There are three things that you can do to make your Neighborsville experience even better.
Invite your neighbors. Naturally, the more people who are involved in your neighborhood the better your discussions will be. You can send invitations to your friends through Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, or Gmail by clicking here. You can also send a link to Neighborsville to your community email list, your mom’s group, your church or any other group you think would benefit from neighborly discussions.

Start conversations. You can start a new conversation by clicking the New Note button on the top of your Neighborhood Home page. A great first post is just a simple introduction from you to your neighbors so they know who they’re talking to. It’s also a good idea to ask questions for people to respond to: “Know any good Chinese take out place?” or “What’s a good free activity for kids on the weekends?” Use Notes to talk with your neighbors about anything you want.

Comment on your neighbors’ Notes. When a neighbor posts something, they’re looking for people to get involved in their conversation. Click the comment link beneath any post to chime in. You’ll be surprised at the conversations your neighbors want to have with you.

One final tip is to make sure you’ve filled out your profile with your name and a picture of you. By being real, you and your neighbors encourage open and honest communication.

We’re glad that you’re using Neighborsville in your neighborhood. If you’ve got any problems, questions, or ideas for us, we’d love to know how we can make Neighborsville better for you. Just click the Feedback tab on any page, or you can email me directly and we’ll help you the best we can.
